It's been way to quiet around here.......

Everyone doing ok?

I will admit... I am catching up with life, and thus very little time around a computer. The only gaming time I have had in over a month is playing baseball with Sarge (that stupid game has me hooked).

Yah, same here, life stuff. Working too hard then too much dweebing on my computers. Converted my laptop from Vista to XP (which cannot be done ;p), and maybe played about 40 mins of L4D. Testing 64bit on another machine.. F'ed up my GPS doing an update and it took me 12 hours to hack it back in condition...

Thursday nite COD4 however. Anyone interested join in tonight ;p

same story as above with slightly different details. Working with some deadlines imminent. Renovating a room. Dealing with a sick child (who has an allergy to amoxicillin we have now discovered as well) and too many weekend events.

I'm hooked on baseball as well and that has been the extent of my gaming.

I just don't like you guys. 😛

Just wondering how things were going.

I'm running solo this weekend, but I have been studying for a Cisco exam again. After this one, I'll have 4 more really hard tests. No telling how long that will take.

I am too and it is a pisser if you don't know it. Make sure they know they are allergic or likely allergic to all "cillians". I thought I was going to die when I had my reaction... didn't help it was during my college years (part 1) and I was taking those pills with alcohol. ;-)

...there is more to that story, but that will be for another day.

Yeah, he's back to normal now. He got Lymes which led to the Amoxicillin which led to hives over every square inch of his body.

As many allergy's as I have, I'm lucky that medicine is not one of them..... Sounds bad...

In my instance I had strep which led to amoxiccillin. The Antibiotics worked and I went back to work the next day, a cold rainy overcast day. By the end of the day I had insane sunburns over my entire body and very severe in places where I was exposed to the sun (arms, face). Also, at the time I was in real good shape... I remember my heart racing from standing up from the couch. It was scary. I went to the Dr. and she switched me, needless to say the "strep" came back for a week or so until I went to the Dr again and she diagnosed it as some weird jungle disease like strep.


The day before the strep/weird jungle disease I had Indian food.... I have never had it again!

Well, they use monkey meat in Indian food, and season it with jungle diseases! At least, i always imagined it was. You probably got teh AIDS too.

My stepfather had a jungle disease once, but then he was in a jungle in WW2 at the time. Modern society truly is a wonder of availability and convenience!

Amoxiccillin is prescribed in Spain much too often still for all kinds of symptoms from dental infections to sour throat. What it does besides eliminating bacteria is also bringing the imune system down. Yoghurt can help building the intestine flora up again.
Even if you are not alergic to the *cilinas it is better to avoid them. Last time a Dr prescribed them for me was in March when I had this stupid Eppstein virus - it did nothing at least nothing positive.

Lyme - is a hard diagnose. I am sorry to hear that your son has got it, Sarge.
I dont know much about it tho.

Here in Germany I got bitten by a tick when I was walking my sister's dog through a field close to the woods. I think there are much more now then there were years ago and so the danger of catching Borreliosis is higher too. Where I am now - its still not frequent tho - as it is in south Germany e.g.
I pulled 5 ticks out of the small pudel and one out of me. Did not clean the spot with alcohol. Had no infection.

As long as you catch Lymes quickly, it can be dealt with very effectively with antibiotics. Those people that have big problems with it usually didn't catch it right away and it has led to other, bigger problems.

Trying to get back to my boring life.. LOL! Had neighbor drama for about 3 months now. May come to a conclusion this month sometime. Let's hope.

Been so busy my WoW pally is still a 74 after 5 days?!?! i can typically level in one or two days.
