    Good or not, those are some classic 1980s movies that he had a hand in. As a teenager during much of the 80's his movies were the one's that you watched.

    I think they're good. I left out the drek - Drillbit Taylor, the Beethoven (big drooly dog) movies, etc.

    I was a teenager in the 80's, of course. I remember going to see "16 Candles" at the theater with my friends.

    "Fred, your Chinaman is three sheets to the wind!"

    "No more yanky my wanky - the Donger need FOOD!"

    I must have a John Hughes retrospective this weekend.

    I heard this on NPR on the way home. I was surprised at how many of these movies I've seen. Almost all of them.

    Some kind of Wonderful happens to be my wife's favorite movie. Its one of the few DVD's we didn't sell on Ebay a while back. I knew he did a lot of the others, but never realized he did that one.

    That was awesome....

    I remember my mother taking me to see Ferris Bueller during spring break. It was awesome.

    Ok, here's my story.....

    When I was 15, I was talked into letting a friend who happened to be a hair dresser give my hair a style. It was kind of a weird bangs to one side over the forehead. After that, people kept asking me if I knew who I looked like. It was weird. For about 8 years, I had more people than I can remember tell me I looked like Ducky from Pretty in Pink. Even when I changed my hair style, people would tell me I looked like Jon Cryer. Heck, my nickname in my Fraternity my freshman year was Ducky and they came up with that all on their own.

    It was cool to be associated with a John Hughes movie, even if it was only a resemblance....

    Fyi, I gained weight, Jon Cryer did not. He's lucky because he no longer looks like me.... 😛
