I stumbled across this guy who has a camera attached to his ear 24/7 and streams the video live.
He NEVER takes it off. he has been doing this for 5 days so far.

Begs the question though; who is weirder, him or us watching it? 😉

There is a small chat window of other idiots watching it that you can type to.
Oh and get this, he gives out his cell phone number! That will be interesting...

I admit from a technical standpoint it is cool doing that 24 hours a day. They must have a good Internet connection but that has to cost a LOT in bandwidth. Then again you can get a EVDO PC card for about $50/month unlimited access.
EDIT: yes this is how they are doign it.

I admit it is intriguing in some ways.

I wonder how many batteries he has to carry around.

What's he do when he takes a whiz? Do we get to critique his aim, or does he point the camera elsewhere? And late at night, are we treated to five minutes of the ceiling while we hear wet slapping sounds? For that matter, does the view alternate pillow and ceiling all night long while he sleeps?

BTW, WTF are you talking about with the EVDO card and UL access? I could Google it, but I'm gonna pretend like this is a conversation and not go off for 10 minutes of research at the drop of a new term. In other words, I'm feeling lazy. 'Splain yourself! 😀

EVDO is wireless internet. I believe it is the standard used by Sprint and Verizon if I remember correctly.

The part I don't get is Unlimited Access, does not mean 24/7 Unlimited Use. Trust me, I've already seen people get turned off for doing that.

It's kind of an interesting thing, but with all the movies that do this, you knew it had to happen sometime.

Funny you asked this. Yesterday I had it on and they were having lunch. He went to the restroom to take a whiz.. Do not worry you did not see anything. It was cool though to see him look into the mirror as you could see his rig. Now if he has to take a s&^t I am unsure and really do not care 😉

I will probably tune in once in awhile for curiosity sake as it is weird...

Atomm is right EVDO (Evolution-Data Optimized) is a wireless PC card you can get for a laptop that basically give you Internet access anyplace you go. It uses the cell towers but gives you around 2 to 2.5MB/sec. It works even driving fast on a highway so you can get Internet basically anyplace you have coverage. I would love to get this but do not want to spend the $50/month.

Atomm I agree I am unsure if using it 24/7 is beyond "unlimited" but they must have some agreement obviously. Which is another topic of discussion and makes me mad. They advertise unlimited but it is limited. If there is a limit they should stat that and not call it UNLIMITED!!!

That is like going into an all you can eat place and they stop you after two plates of food.

Thanks to you and Atomm for 'splaining that. So this works pretty much anywhere you have cell-phone coverage?

I agree about those bullshit "unlimited unless you hit an unspecified amount of use where we limit you" plans.
