RPS is reporting that there are 3 more BF add-ons coming. First is close quarters focused, second is tank focused and third is a big secret. More detail here:
June's add-on pack is called Close Quarters and it's focused on up-close-and-personal indoor infantry combat with verticality to the map designs. It will be released one week early on PS3, and includes 10 new weapons and four new maps.
So Call of Duty, only multi levels in height? I did enjoy playing an infantry only map recently, but it sure does limit the power of some classes.
I'm not too sure about the whole close quarters thing. I loved Infantry only in previous BF games, but in BF3, it doesn't seem as fun to me.
I predict that the third expansion, End Game is BF3 2143. They already found a 2143 Easter egg on one of the crates.
The downside is it is going to fragment the servers even more and it doesn't look like we are going to get any free maps for the core game or Back to Karkand.

yup, fragmentation is going to be a nightmare after a while. I probably won't skip the next expansion, even if I don't like the maps and gameplay...I can always find servers without those maps ;
I think the first is to try to get more COD players to move to the franchise.
I'm not to excited about the first one. I'm hoping the second one will be more like the maps from BF2. The 2 mini expansions for BF2 were great fun.
One other thing that's come out in the last few days in a new Medal of Honor game. To me, that says WWII on the Medal of Honor platform and never again on the Battlefield platform. That is so disappointing. BF42, BFV and BFBC2:V are still my three most favorite battlefields.

If by 2143 you mean some variation of the Titan Mode.. count me in.

Hopefully they fix the the TDM/SQDM spawn issues before this DLC...max of 16 players on the maps, but I think I might find myself playing more TDM/SQDM with this DLC.
I love battlefield so I will end up with all the DLC as it comes out no matter what.
This video does look like a giant Cluster F just waiting for 320 & RPG spam.
I've always loved Urban Battlefield, but this feels nothing like moving from building to building and everything like Modern Warfare. I really think they did this to try to sell more games to the CoD players. IMHO, this is ruining everything that has been great about Battlefield at the expense of trying to be CoD.

I agree in a way...but unless they drop the price of BF3 and/or sell it as a package, most COD players that haven't jumped probably won't for $75.
Don't really see myself doing the close quarter stuff. We'll see...never say never but I like having some vehicles on the maps. Also I tend to be a sucker for new gun skins. Maps kinda look like a couple of the co-op maps. Really enjoy the co-op stuff... I think this is geared way more for the console crowd than us vets...
tank one sounds interesting but I imagine it will be a much slower match...No clue what they're going for in end game. Could see myself getting those.
Funny enough I rarely play the Karkand maps now...Sharqi kinda sucks...Wake tends to blow too. Karkand and Oman are alright but I'd rather have a go at Bazaar/Sienne or Firestorm/Kharg.
