The Legion of Doom (Trevor Keith of Face to Face) release mash-up album
After literally years of legal wrangling, the music production/remix team The Legion of Doom have officially released their popular online remix album, Incorporated. Interestingly, one of the more controversial tracks – a mashup of Taking Back Sunday and Senses Fail – now leads off the record.
The duo, consisting of producer/engineer Chad Blinman and former Face to Face frontman Trever Keith, blends electronic sounds and beats within the “mashed-up” product of two tracks from popular punk, emo and hardcore acts. The style of production is similar to that from producer Danger Mouse’s breakthrough work, the Grey Album; the popular internet phenomenon that mixed the Beatle’s The White Album with Jay-Z’s the Black Album.
The album is limited to a pressing of 3,000 and comes in a unique wallet-style package featuring cover art from Derek Hess. The album is available only through Illegal Art web store, here. The album is also being streamed in its entirety at the project’s Last FM page.
