Bad Religion plans digital single for May 22nd

Their next full length might not hit stores till July 10, 2007, but Bad Religion has got a little something to tide you over until then. The band will be releasing a digital single of their track, “Honest Goodbye” on May 22nd. The song will be available through all major digital download services.

Co-written by founding members Brett Gurewitz and Greg Graffin, “Honest Goodbye” is inspired by the life and crimes of Perry Smith, the murderer made famous by Truman Capote’s classic novel “In Cold Blood.” “The song questions how a man with seemingly gentle and artistic sensibilities comes to commit brutally heinous crimes,” explains Gurewitz. “It’s an emotional song to me that delves into the humanity of forgiveness and retribution.”
