New demo from The North Atlantic, more promised, ask for fan opinions

The North Atlantic have posted a new track online, and in a recent blog, more demos are promised to be posted. Additionally, the group is requesting feedback from listeners:

We’ve been bad to you…and by bad, I don’t mean a real prick, but just a little…inattentive. So, we’ve decided that we’re gonna post new songs that we’ve been demo-ing and working on, for about a week at a time, and see what y’all think of them. The first one doesn’t have a name yet–I’m not promising anything, but send ideas.

You can check out the the untitled demo at the band’s MySpace page.

The group’s last release was 2006’s well-received Wires in the Walls.

No Use for a Name post more “Best Of” details

No Use For A Name has provided us with a nice, large version of the artwork for their upcoming retrospective/greatest hits compilation. The record has been titled All The Best Songs and is due out July 10, 2007.

Originally announced in early February, the disc is now set to contain 26 songs including 2 unreleased songs. It will include a 24-page booklet with pictures, and commentary from the band as well as ex-members, mothers, crew members and Fat Mike. The record is expected to compile favorites from all their records up to and including their last album, Keep Them Confused, in 2005.

2007 marks the 20th anniversary of their first released song. The song “Gang Way” appeared on Maximum Rock n’ Roll’s Turn It Around released 20 years ago in 1987.

Any speculation on what songs will appear?
