Two new Reggie & The Full Effect songs

Everyone’s favorite bathtub dwelling solo artist, James Dewees aka Reggie and The Full Effect, has posted some new music from his upcoming album.

The record was produced by Sean Beavan and is titled She Loves Me Not. A release date has not yet been set. The album is the follow up to 2005’s Songs Not To Get Married To. (Those confused by the new songs should recall that James was in this band for a spell.)

San Francisco AIDS Walk with your friends from Punknews.org

Our friends and collaborators, Justin and Dante, have spearheaded a new team on the AIDS Walk themed on this very website. He explains:

Rage Against The Machine announces Midwest appearance

As expected, the first Rage Against The Machine countdown completed today. The page has announced a show for June 16th, 2007 to take place at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, WI.

The bill will also feature Queens of the Stone Age and you can check out the show poster. While fans expecting a major tour may be disappointed, there remains another countdown which will be revealed in August. Only 74 days to go…

Against Me! posts “Making Of” video, interview in Australia

Though there has been no shortage of video updates from Against Me!, their label has posted the first official clip from the DVD which is set to be packaged with the album.

The band also recently participated in an interview while in Australia talking about their album and even their expectations for the upcoming presidential election:

You know what, I’m over it. He’s out in a couple of years. Goodbye. I’m kind of resigned to the fact that even though we’re replacing one major arsehole, we’ll just replace him with another one (laughs). I don’t see the American people voting in someone any worse than Bush, but it’s highly unlikely we’re gonna vote in someone fantastic, because they just don’t exist in politics,”

The highly anticipated major label debut for the band, New Wave is due out July 10, 2007.

The Draft’s busy summer

The Draft have revealed upcoming touring and recording plans. The band, currently on the road in Australia with Against Me!, will headline a few shows in New Zealand before heading home to the US. The band has plans to play some European festivals this summer, including the Reading and Leeds weekender and Belgium’s Pukkelpop. There will be club shows in between the festivals “if you don’t feel like shelling out $100 to get beer thrown on you by Tool fans.”

Following the European tour the band will return to the US for 3 weeks of shows ended at the Fest in Gainesville. Afterwards the band plans to hit the studio to record the follow up to 2006’s In a Million Pieces. Bassist Jason Black commented in his recent update that the new tracks at “fun as hell and definitely much more varied” than the band’s prior work.

Endgame, Inner Surge, Up the Fury

Bloomfield, New Jersey hardcore act Endgame, featuring Paul Colucci of Between The Wars. have posted three new tracks online at the MySpace page.

Canadian metal act Inner Surge have posted their new video for the song “Wolves” here. The video, directed by Shaun Friesen of Free Zen Design, features a multimedia collage based on the events surrounding the 1994 Rwandan genocide. The song was featured on the band’s 2006 full length Signals Screaming.

Up The Fury, featuring ex members of This Is Hell and Backup Plann, have posted a new song to their MySpace page titled “At the Hands of History,” The demo will appear on an upcoming EP the group is set to record shortly.
