Another update, song lyrics from Paint It Black

Paint It Black have psoted another update with lyrics as they continue to work on their upcoming third album. As reported earlier, the album will be co-produced by J. Robbins and Oktopus (aka Alap Momin).

The band had this to say in an update:

What’s up everyone. We are hard at work obsessing over new material. We tape all our practices, then listen to the tapes a million times, and then go back to the lab, fix what’s broken, and make new tapes. This process keeps repeating. Fun and intense, but easy to get stuck in your own head after awhile.

Been getting some emails lately about posting more lyrics, so here goes. This song is about growing up in america and the failures of capitalism, growing up a rebel and the failures of punk music/culture. And of course, the failures we sometimes encounter in individual human relationships. Failure doesn’t mean that we stop trying. “It means brush the dirt off, get up and try again.” Please read the note that comes after. It’s really important:

Rage Against the Machine is up to something

Rage Against The Machine Apparently not happy just to hurt Ann Coulter’s feelings, Rage Against the Machine are reportedly up to something, though no one has really been able to figure out what that is.

Today, the band – or at least someone representing the band – launched http://www.ratm82407.com/, which includes two countdowns. The first counting down to next Monday. The second is counting to August 24th, 2007. While there is no definitive news on what it could be, the domain name information suggests that the band could be gearing up for a major tour, since the site is owned by Live Nation, a major tour promoter.
