Paint It Black have psoted another update with lyrics as they continue to work on their upcoming third album. As reported earlier, the album will be co-produced by J. Robbins and Oktopus (aka Alap Momin).
The band had this to say in an update:
What’s up everyone. We are hard at work obsessing over new material. We tape all our practices, then listen to the tapes a million times, and then go back to the lab, fix what’s broken, and make new tapes. This process keeps repeating. Fun and intense, but easy to get stuck in your own head after awhile.
Been getting some emails lately about posting more lyrics, so here goes. This song is about growing up in america and the failures of capitalism, growing up a rebel and the failures of punk music/culture. And of course, the failures we sometimes encounter in individual human relationships. Failure doesn’t mean that we stop trying. “It means brush the dirt off, get up and try again.” Please read the note that comes after. It’s really important:
