As Blood Runs Black part ways with drummer

As Blood Runs Black has announced that they’ve parted ways with their drummer and replaced him with Brett Batdorf (ex-the Faceless):

Unfortunately, we had a series of situations that occurred resulting in the letting go of a certain band member. There is by far no “glitz” and no “glamour” involved in this band. Any fan/friend who has come out to a show knows this for a fact. You all know how much of a humble band we are and how appreciative we are to have all of you as fans and friends. The Lech that fans know and the Lech that we as a band know are two completely different people. There were endless amounts of problems regarding the way the band was being handled. On several accounts we, the band, were looked at as “employees” and not as a band, as if this were a dictatorship. There was very little effort put into the “grunt” work of the band and there were several personality conflicts, on numerous levels, creating unnecessary tension, angst, and stress within the band. We feel as a band that we handled the situation on a professional level and feel it’s what’s best for the future of As Blood Runs Black.

The band is currently on the Summer Slaughter tour with Necrophagist.

Thrice parts ways with Island Records

Thrice Thrice has announced that they have parted ways with Island Records. The band explains:

Over the past couple of years, we’ve realized that we have different visions for the band’s future and we both agree that we’d be better off going our separate ways at this point. We’re very grateful for all the help and support they’ve given us for the past four years. Thankfully, they’ve been generous enough to let us keep the record we’re currently recording, and we’re hopeful that this change in plans won’t delay its release. We’re currently in the process of finding a new home, and will let you all know once we do so.

The band’s last Island release was 2006’s Red Sky.
