Street Dogs and Time Again raising money for 9/11 orphans via Wiffle Ball

On July 31st, the Street Dogs and Time Again will be hosting a unique event in Huntington Beach, California. The two bands will be dueling it out in the time-honored tradition of Wiffle Ball in order to raise money for the Twin Towers Orphan Relief Fund. They’ll be doing so at the Electric Chair Clothing Store, located at 410 Main Street in Huntington Beach. The festivities start at 1pm and will be free, but donations will be gathered up during the event. Expect the usual accouterments of burgers, hot dogs, etc, along with some giveaways.

The Twin Towers Orphan Fund was founded on September 12, 2001 for the sole purpose of providing educational and welfare assistance to the children who were orphaned by the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The mission of the Twin Towers Orphan Fund is to provide long-term higher educational assistance and mental and physical healthcare assistance for children who lost parents in the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon, or onboard the four downed airliners, and children of victims of future terrorist attacks.

8th Annual Unbelievable Self-Indulgence Fest: Lawrence Arms, The Falcon, Sundowner, American Steel

The Lawrence Arms The Lawrence Arms, Sundowner, The Falcon and American Steel have announced a tour together. The tour has been dubbed 8th Annual Unbelievable Self-Indulgence Fest.

The six-week tour is not only unique because it’ll be the first time The Falcon and Sundowner will tour the country, but it also marks the return of East Bay punks American Steel.

Of course, the headliners have made a promise that might be a little exciting for a few of you: The guys have been promising to play the occasional song from their older (and more embarrassing) bands like Slapstick and The Broadways. They’ve been listening to kids yell out requests from their teenage bands for years and they’re thinking that throwing the hecklers a bone might shut them up once and for all. For those at this past weekend’s Asian Man Records 11th Anniversary Shindig, you know what to expect as the boys debuted the old songs there.

Dates are expected soon.
