Rat Patrol Records has two new 7″‘s out. First up is a four-track release from New Mexican Disaster Squad. The release features work by Horsebites Design and is on sale now.

Next up is a two-track release from Chuck Ragan. The release features a sleeve with cover art imitating the Clash “White Man in Hammersmith Palais” 7″ art. Currently this release is available for preorder and will be available on an upcoming European tour.

PETA2 DVD+CD with Anti-Flag, Strike Anywhere, The Bouncing Souls, Lifetime, Emery, Street Drum Corps

PETA2 has launched a new DVD+CD featuring Anti-Flag, Emery, Strike Anywhere, The Bouncing Souls, Lifetime, and Street Drum Corps and is hosted by MTV’s John Norris. The DVD aims to “get the word out about the horrors of what goes on behind the closed doors of an animal-testing lab.

The disc was assembled by the Saturday Team and features music and video footage with the participating acts.

Yellowcard performs Radiohead, originals in new Session

Yellowcard The wholesome guys in Yellowcard recently dropped by AOL to perform some originals and an acoustic version of Radiohead’s “High and Dry.”

Oh, and for the record, The Bends, from which the Radiohead song is taken, is actually a better album than OK Computer. Deal with it, Pitchfork.

Tours: Cobra Skulls

Cobra SkullsReno’s Cobra Skulls, fresh off a tour with the Mad Caddies, are set to hit the road yet again. This time out they’ll bring along Philadelphia’s Dirty Tactics.

Red Scare Records has revealed that the Chicago date on the tour will be in support of a band called the Cornish Gay Men, a three piece featuring members of the Falcon and Sundowner. That’s right.

Cobra Skulls recently released Sitting Army via Red Scare.

No Use for a Name writing and demoing new material

With the release of their hits package All The Best Songs on July 10, 2007, No Use For A Name has begun work on their next full length. According to reports from the label, the band “is securely back in the bunker writing and demoing songs for their next full length.

The long-running band released their last studio record, Keep Them Confused, in 2005.
