Geoff, Kamilla, and Naomi leave the Horrorpops
Some significant lineup changes taking place in the Horrorpops camp. According to the band, Geoff Kresge, Kamilla Vanilla and Naomi have all departed from the band. The remaining members explained:
.At the time Geoff joined HorrorPops he had also just started his dream project, Viva Hate. This was something he had wanted to do even while he was still in Tiger Army and was one of the reasons he eventually left TA. […] Now Viva Hate have gotten to the point where they have a good fan base, gigs lined up and after two great years with HorrorPops, Geoff now needs to dedicate his time to Viva Hate and has our complete blessings and support in this.
At the same time [Naomi] decided it was time to move on to other things and to dedicate more time to her family whom she missed constantly on tour.
Kamilla was determined to stay as a dancer in the band, but at the same time as our upcoming tour dates has drawn closer, her different projects also has become more time consuming.
As a three-piece, the band will continue on.

Reggie ain’t dead yet
Looks like the recent breakup of Reggie and the Full Effect didn’t take. The sole member, James DeWees explained:
Hey turkeys sorry for the confusion, Reggie and the Full Effect is not broken up, It’s just me. I can’t break up with myself. What I meant by the previous quote was that I am done paying people money who have nothing to do with the band. I am writing whatever I want. I am singing whatever I want and doing whatever I want. Its something that a lot of my friends in bands should do as well. People tend to forget that without songwriters there would be no songs and without musicians there would be music. Therefore there would no industry, a bunch of dudes in a room without a product is just a bunch of dudes in a room.
Once again sorry for the confusion but hey what’s new coming from me ya know?
So, yeah.

Avenged Sevenfold talks new album
Avenged Sevenfold recently spoke with Billboard about their upcoming album and follow up to 2005’s City Of Evil. The band is presently holed up in a Burbank studio working on the as-yet-untitled effort which is expected in October via Warner Bros.
Frontman M.Shadow explained:
It’s very groove-oriented. On ‘City of Evil’ we had so much going on-the drums were going a million miles an hour and everything was [at level] 10 at all times with really crazy arrangements.”
The label didn’t push us. We took six months to write, and we wrote every single day and just drained everything out of us. At the end of the day, we were 100 percent happy
The group has finished recording 13 songs, with four more tracks still in the works. Shadow says the band will be done mixing the self-produced set by the first of August before embarking on a tour of Asia five days later.
