Rochester, NY’s Polar Bear Club has signed to Red Leader Records. The band features current and ex-members of a number of bands including Marathon, Achilles, the Disaster, Standfast and Spark Lights The Friction. The band has booked time to record a new full length in July at Nada Studios, with touring to follow.

In the meantime Red Leader will re-release the band’s 2006 EP The Redder, The Better in conjunction with Luchador Records.

Converge has posted video from their recent performance at the European Hellfest 2007. The band continues to support their new full length, No Heroes, and has also kicked off a new set of European tour dates.

Bremerton, Washington’s Kane Hodder have announced some future plans. The band has almost finished writing their follow up to 2004’s The Pleasure To Remain So Heartless. The band has 14 songs written, material that they’ll demo soon in the studio with longtime collaborator T. Dallas Reed. The band, which was dropped from Fueled By Ramen some months ago, will then set out to find a new label, and hopefully tour prior to the recording the LP.

In the meantime the band will appear on Engineer Records’ tribute to Seaweed titled Hours and Hours and play the upcoming Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle.

Orange County’s Killing California has signed with Basement Records. The label will release the band’s new full length Goin’ South on April 15th. The record was produced and engineered by Bullet Treatment‘s Chuck Dietrich along with Tony Vizcarra at Tru-One Studios.

The record follows up 2006’s Ropeless Romantics.
