The Unseen “Break Away” video

The video for the first single from the new Unseen record has been posted. The song is titled “Break Away” and you can view the video over at Hellcat. The track will appear on Internal Salvation, which is set to hits the streets on July 10, 2007. It will be the followup to their Hellcat debut State Of Discontent.

The band will support the album with appearances on this summer’s Warped Tour.

Hot Cross Hot Cross has announced simply on MySpace that they’ve broken up:

Thanks for everything. We are indefinitely inactive as of 7/6/07. No reason to get into why this is happening. Just know we appreciate your support over the last seven years.

The band released A New Set Of Lungs, Cryonics, a split with Light the Fuse and Run and Fair Trade And Farewells through Level Plane Records and most recently Risk Revival through Hope Division Records.

Drummer for Tinkture injured in fireworks prank

Roisin Isner, 16 year old drummer for San Francisco band Tinkture, was on the receiving end of a prank gone wrong the night of July 4th in San Francisco’s Dolores Park. Reportedly the musician was hanging out with friends watching the fireworks and an unidentified firework was tossed at the group. The explosive landed on Isner’s hand, exploding and seriously injuring the 16 year old.

Chris Isner, Roisin’s father, is offering a $20,000 reward for the name of the perpetrator and is reporting that Roisin will most likely lose her index finger and that her second and third fingers will also be permanently impaired and disfigured.

Punkews.org teams up with Fat Wreck for San Francisco AIDS Walk

Fat Wreck Chords has teamed up with Punknews.org for the annual AIDS Walk in San Francisco. Fat encourages people to “Come on out and watch us wheeze and cough our way through Golden Gate Park” and to “bring donuts”.

The Annual AIDS Walk will be occuring on July 15 in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. People can join the Punknews Team by registering here or make a general donation here.

Bang Lime (Metric) announces album, tour dates

Bang Lime, an act consisting of the rhythm section of critically acclaimed Canadian indie rock group Metric, has announced some info on their forthcoming debut.

The album will be titled Best Friends in Love and see a release on August 14th through Last Gang Records. It was recorded this past January in a two-week session at Sharkbite Studio in the members’ home of Oakland, California.

The band will support the album with some North American tour dates surrounding its release date.
