Jason Shevchuk (Kid Dynamite, None More Black) recently spoke with Suburban Home’s Virgil Dickerson about his new band, Lagrecia.

Jason talks about the band’s currently status, having recorded nine new demos for their full length debut. He also notes plans to fly to Denver to play their first ever show at Suburban Home’s 12th Anniversary show. The band are also doing an acoustic set for the Punk Rock Flea Market.

Offspring have installed a new publically available webcam in their studio as they continue to work on their next full length in Orange County, California.

The yet-to-be-titled new record will follow up 2003’s Splinter and is expected in late 2007 or early 2008 via Columbia Records. It will be the band’s first studio album recorded with drummer Josh Freese (he Vandals, Devo, Guns N’ Roses, Suicidal Tendencies) though the band’s touring lineup will feature Pete Parada.

The band recently returned from Japan where they appeared at the Summer Sonic Festival on the 11th and 12th alongside bands like Sum 41, Avenged Sevenfold, Bloc Party and Interpol.

Foo Fighters and Serj Tankian of System Of A Down performed their take on the classic Dead Kennedys tune, “Holiday in Cambodia.”

The set was recorded for MTV’s “VMA Fantasy Suites.” Sadly, the clip is only available in America but you can find it here along with a selection of other covers featuring the Foos, Gnarls Barkley, Mastodon and more.

Kevin Devine has posted a new demo which will presumably appear on his next album. Devine most recently delivered an exclusive tour-only EP which came on the heels of his major label debut, Put Your Ghost to Rest. Devine was also recently dropped by Capitol Records, the label that released Ghost.
