Jimmy Eat World re-recording "Your House," covers
Even though their upcoming album is barely in the can, Jimmy Eat World is back in the studio recording some more material. The band made the announcement on their blog:
We now have to hunker down into our studio once again (it seems we can’t escape it) to record some more goodies. As I type, we are recording a new version of “Your House” that we did on the last U.S. run. drums, bass and acoustic guitar are all laid down and it sounds really cool so far. It’s kind of fun to bring back an older song and re-imagine it to a certain extent. we are racking our brains for good cover ideas [too].
The band’s new record, Chase This Light, is due out October 16, 2007

Bad Religion’s Jay Bentley talks about the evolution of Warped, punk rock and the new cash grab
Exclaim recently caught up with Bad Religion‘s Jay Bentley who discussed the current state of the Warped Tour as well as the “newer” bands who may not have as much of a connection to the original punk rock ideals.
At one point, Jay addresses one common complaint about the Warped Tour:
Where the fuck are all the Bad Religion’s of the world? People don’t start bands like Bad Religion because we’re not popular. They start bands like Fall Out Boy because they make millions of dollars.
If you don’t like [The Warped Tour] because of the bands, start a fucking band. If you don’t like what is being given to you, make what you want.
The band continues to support New Maps of Hell and will be appearing on Conan O’Brien tonight.
