We are in desperate need of reviews. For real. This is an open call to the community: Submit stuff! We have a certain standard of course, so assuming you meet our minimal requirements it’ll be posted.

And no, this was not intentionally a Euro/International/German/Italy-tributing edition of the reviews update, but feel free to pretend it was.

Tours: The Misfits

The Misfits are headed out on a 30th anniversary tour of the US (and Toronto) following their current dates in the UK. As previously reported the band is touring there alongside the Briefs. The anniversary tour kicks off on October 12th in Springfield, VA.

The present day Misfits are are of course centered around bassist Jerry Only backed by former Black Flag members Dez Cadena and Robo.

Tours: Saviours / Witchcraft

Saviours have posted an update on their new album, as well as announcing an upcoming tour with Witchcraft. Here’s what they had to say:

Recording and mixing of our new album is complete. It sounds killer and it will total you. […] This recording will be released in February of 2008. Until then, we induce you with the Cavern of Mind 12″ EP, two tracks from our June recordings at Earhammer in Oakland. This will be a limited 12″ vinyl and digital release from Kemado.

(Illinois edition) This Hollywood Machine, Mars Needs Cheerleaders, Jenna

Troy, Illinois based band This Hollywood Machine have posted some songs reflecting their influences of hardcore, metal and love for zombies. You can check out the first 4 songs from their upcoming 7 song EP Now or Never at the group’s MySpace page.

Another Illinois-based band, Mars Needs Cheerleaders, has posted some music online. The group plays a mix of melodic metal and hardcore. You can hear two of their songs from their upcoming full length at their MySpace page.

Jenna, who come from (you guessed it!) Southern Illinois, play a brand of pop hardcore, and cite influences from A Day To Remember to Scary Kids Scaring Kids. They also have some songs over at MySpace.
