Intro5pect: “Realpolitik”

Intro5pect We’ve got a full stream of the brand new EP from Intro5pect due out on Blacknoise Records. The record is titled Realpolitik and is due out today, October 16, 2007. It is the follow-up to Intro5pect which was released in 2003 on A-F Records.

The album features Stza of Leftover Crack and the bands will be touring together this month.

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes detail “Cash”

With Dolly out the street today, Me First and The Gimme Gimmes have unveiled details about the second 7-inch in their “Square Dance” series.

The album will feature two songs that have been performed by the legendary Johnny Cash. The first, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down” was originally written by Kris Kristofferson and appeared on Love Their Country. It will be backed by “I Still Miss Someone.”

The set is due out November 06, 2007.

Sex Pistols release “Bollocks” on iTunes, plan late night appearances

The Sex Pistols have announced the first ever digital release of their classic 1977 album, Never Mind the Bollocks. Newly recorded versions of “Anarchy in the U.K.” and “Pretty Vacant” are also available for sale.The album is available for purchase or streaming via iTunes and you can find it here.

The band has also confirmed a number of late night show appearances. The group will perform October 30th on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and the following day on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. On October 25th, the Pistols will play a private show at Los Angeles’ Roxy, sponsored by local radio station Indie 103.1, Guitar Hero and Helio.

Thursday: “Ladies And Gentleman: My Brother, The Failure”

Thursday have posted a new studio track from their upcoming live and unreleased packaged. The record is titled Kill the House Lights – Live and Unreleased and is due out October 30, 2007.

The band has also announced a DVD screening for Thursday, October 18th from 2:30 to 4:30pm at The Scandinavian House. Detalied Fest schedule posted

Organizers of this year’s edition of The Fest have posted a detailed schedule of the three day event. There are about a million band playing in about a thousand venues, all seemingly at the same time, so print this sucker off, tie up your running shoes and…go!

As to whether Lopan Takes Japan is really Less Than Jake remains to be discovered. Punknews.org staffers are currently sifting through the Da Vinci Code in order to sharpen up their encryption skills and will keep you posted.

Gallows with Lethal Bizzle: “Staring At The Rude Bois (The Ruts)”

Gallows has posted the video for their collaboration with Lethal Bizzle which covers the reggae-influenced British punk rock band, The Ruts. The song also appeared on the iTunes and UK reissue of Orchestra of Wolves.

The track, “Staring At The Rude Boys” was first released as a single in 1980, backed by “Love in Vain” and then on their album, Grin & Bear It. You can find the original video here. There is also a live version recorded with help from Henry Rollins also available on YouTube.

Street Dogs to headline 4th Annual Wreck The Halls Holiday show

Looks like Massachusetts punk fans will be having quite a merry Christmas. Today, the Street Dogs were confirmed as headliners for the 4th Annual Wreck The Halls Holiday show at the Roxy in Boston, MA on Friday, December 21st.

There will be a ticket presale exclusively for Street Dogs fans that will begin Tuesday, October 16th at 12 PM Eastern Time. You can find the tickets here.
