Century Media Records Signs Stick to Your Guns

Century Media Records have announced the signing of Southern California hardcore act Stick to Your Guns. The band’s first release for the label will be the recently completed full-length Comes From the Heart. The album, which was produced by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall), is set for a Spring release.

Drummer Casey Lagos says

We are so grateful for this opportunity to work with Century Media and be part of their historical roster. They have already showed us great love and integrity. Robert (owner) and Ray (A&R Rep) have actually come out to our shows years back just because they liked what we were doing. They actually care about the band, know our songs and what we’re about, and we think that is really important. We’re really excited for the future, and proud to be part of the family.

A Wilhelm Scream announces new guitarist

A Wilhelm Scream have announced the addition of a new guitarist, Mike Supina. Mike fills the space left vacant by the departure of Chris Levesque last fall. The band had been touring with fill-in guitarist Nick Diener of the Swellers.

Speaking of AWS, the band was sufficiently stoked by your choice for album of the year 2007. There are only 350 days left in 2008 to vote for next year so don’t forget to vote on today’s new reviews.

Geoff Kresge rejoins Tiger Army

Geoff Kresge, stand-up bassist in Tiger Army from 1999 to mid-2004 has rejoined the band for their upcoming tours. Kresge also performed on III: Ghost Tigers Rise and II: Power Of Moonlight as well as providing back up vocals on Music from Regions Beyond.

He replaces Jeff Roffredo who left the band to pursue other interests and adds:

I don’t think people understand what a difficult decision it was for me to make when I left the band in late-2004, or that it may or may not have been for the reason(s) that the fans have heard or read about. Being given the opportunity to rejoin the band is an exciting prospect.

Plans are in motion to film a video in February for the second single from Music From Regions Beyond, “Pain,” which made its US radio debut this week when Nick 13 appeared for the second time on the nationally syndicated show “Loveline.”

Following the US tour and video shoot, Tiger Army will make their long-awaited return to Australia for a headlining tour, including a stop in New Zealand, in March. Soon after, the band returns to Japan. The headlining tour there will be the first since the band’s first trip to Japan in 2001. April sees Tiger Army headlining night two of the “Satanic Stomp” psychobilly festival in Germany and doing a handful of select shows in Europe, including an exclusive UK appearance in London, a show in Milan, Italy, a gig in Vienna, Austria, two shows in Sweden and a two night stand in Helsinki, Finland that have both already sold out.
