Chuck Ragan posts two new songs

One of your favorite artists of 2007, Chuck Ragan, has posted two new songs from his upcoming collaborative project, Bristle Ridge. Chuck adds:

For those of you who do not know, “Bristle Ridge” is a 12 song collaboration record that Austin Lucas and I just completed with good friends and family Bob Lucas, Jon Gaunt, and Digger Barnes. We were lucky enough to have some great guest appearences from Chloe Manor, Tom Greathead, and Laura Gayle Lucas. It was a joy to record to say the least.

The record is due out via Chuck’s own Ten Four Records rather than SideOneDummy which hosts Ragan’s solo albums.

You can find the songs on his myspace page.

Business Magazine looks at Tom Delonge’s non-musical endeavours

San Diego Business has put together a lengthy article about Angels and Airwaves/Blink-182‘s Tom Delonge.

The article focuses on Tom’s more traditional endeavours including Loserkids, Macbeth, Atticus and other non-musical projects. Tom explained: “I was sure we wouldn’t continue to sell records, So [going into business] was an insurance policy of sorts.”

DeLonge opts not to share revenue numbers for his private company, but does disclose that in hopes of possibly taking RLP public, it was recently valued at $12 million. And that’s not including the Modlife.com component, which, if it’s anything on the scale of MySpace (it was designed to rival the popular social media site) could potentially increase that value tenfold. Right now, DeLonge has about 20 U.S. employees who work out of his San Diego office, and he also has offices in London and Australia.

You can check out the rest of the article here.
