Mark Hoppus (Blink-182) working with All Time Low

Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 and Plus 44 is working with All Time Low on their next record. Mark discussed the collaboration on his blog:

Last week I had All Time Low in the studio. They are working on songs for their new album and asked if I would be interested in co-writing with them. Co-writing is always an awkward experience at first. “Hey, how about you get into a studio with a bunch of people you’ve never met before and see what happens?”

So I had the basic outline of a song and alex came in and listened to it, liked it, and we got to work. Alex, Jack, Chris Holmes, and I grinded away at it, and three days later we walked out of the studio with what I think is a really great song.

Hoppus has worked as both producer and collaborator with a number of bands as of late, including Motion City Soundtrack and The Matches.

The Offspring’s Dexter Holland talks new record, upcoming tour and new drummer

Bombshellzine.com recently spoke with Offspring frontman Dexter Holland about their long-awaited new album and their upcoming tour.

Regarding the record:

We’re just in the studio today getting some tracks down for the new record. Its a lot louder than the last couple. Which isn’t to say we are going to be making another Smash, or another Ixnay. I think all our albums are relevant to punk when they were created, and this one will be no different.

To their Australian headlining tour, Dexter adds:

Its an honour thats for sure, I guess it validates our music and its relevance for current fans which is reassuring. We’ve toured with Incubus before and that was a good show, so it’ll be good to hook up with those guys again. I’m also really looking forward to seeing Killswitch Engage, I’ve never had the chance to catch them and I really dig it.

You can check out the entire interview here.

Pulley complete mastering for new EP

Pulley have wrapped up mastering on their first recording since 2004’s Matters:

Mike and I just finished making copies of the new EP for ourselves at my apartment. We couldn’t be happier about the final product. Matt Hyde did a kick ass job once again. I actually think the sound is even “bigger” than Matters. I can’t wait for all of you to hear this thing! Mark DeSalvo is working on his new painting for the cover. The next step for us is to figure out how we are releasing this thing.

Presumably the album will not be released on Epitaph, their home since 1996’s Esteem Driven Engine.
