He Is Legend set to record

He Is Legend have announced plans to record their next album:

On the 27th of March we will be embarking on a musical sabbatical deep in the forests that surround Warrior Studios to record these new musical endeavors with the elusive Mitchel Marlow, whom you may remember from such films as Turtle Power, I Hate Myself and the remake of “Hey Man, Nice Shot”. Although you may never hear a finished product from said project, (lets call it Operation Demo NZ) we can assure you of its Bad-Assary and promise that it will only help us to deliver to you a record literally made of solid gold, (figuratively speaking).

The band released Suck Out The Poison in 2006.

Be Your Own Pet censored by Universal for “violent lyrics”

Be Your Own Pet Be Your Own Pet have seen three tracks from their new album, Get Awkward pulled from the US version due to “violent content.” The three tracks “Blow Yr Mind”, “Black Hole”, and “Becky” were on the original promos released by the label and are widely available in the UK and Europe.

Lyrics in question include “We’ll wait with knives after class!” and “Eating pizza is really great / So is destroying everything you hate.” There are also some songs about zombies which may be offensive to bloodthirsty corpses hungering for brains.

The band is signed to Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace which is distributed through Universal Records. On a completely unrelated note, Universal and its imprints feature family-friendly artists like Eminem, Nirvana, Guns’n’Roses, 50 Cent, Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson.
