Vultures United (Grave for the Fireflies) plan UK tour, BBC session, Europe album release, new album

Vultures United have announced a number of plans for the coming few months. First, the band has announced their first ever tour of the UK. The band will be spending two weeks in the country with Stoke, The Rivercard.

The band has also announced plans to record BBC Session at Maida Valle Studios in London. The studio is the site of the famous Peel Sessions which have featured Gallows, Hot Snakes, The White Stripes, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and others. The session leads into an appearance on the BBC Radio 1 Punk Show with Mike Davies.

Also slated is a release of their album, Dirt Hearts in Europe. The disc is coming out via Anchors Aweigh Records out of Cagliari, Italy. Finally, with regards to a new album:

We’ve actually already started writing. We’ve got 3 songs in the can “T-Rexellent!”, “I Don’t Need Drugs, I Need Money” and “Our Beloved Beatles”. It’s not for sure that we’ll be using these on our debut full length, but basically, shit’s underway. Our new 2nd guitar shredder James has contributed an unnamed track or 2, plus Richie’s got some stuff and Jordan’s got like 57 new songs to toy with. So the material’s there. We just need time to sort it out, decide what sucks, and forge ahead.

As far as labels go, we definitely know we’re not going to release this ourselves. Been there, done that. We haven’t really been talking to labels about the full length and probably won’t until all of the songs are ready to record, but we’re hoping to get something worked out for a Summer recording, with a possible Fall 2008 release.

The Bronx working on two new records

The Bronx The Bronx have posted an update on their plans for the coming months:

Today we start packing it in to the studio to begin work on 1 of 2 records. The first of which will be our mariachi record. 11 stellar tracks – highlights include “qualude quesadilla” & “if you build it, we will paint it”

4 weeks later we pack it back up and move into our own studio that our kick ass record label got us. Big game lodge. To record 11 blast punk tracks.

Both records should be released this summer worldwide. Double vinyl of both albums to follow. We are gonna try and do a studio blog or something. But we will prolly never get around to it, and blogs suck anyway.

The band has also mentioned the addition of two new members, Vincent Hidalgo of The Drips (which also features Matt Caughthran of The Bronx) and Brad Maggers of Your Highness Electic/Christiansen.
