Big Business announces new member, new album, and new Melvins album

Seattle, Washington’s Big Business have posted an update to their MySpace page announcing a new full time member, their involvement in the new Melvins album, also documented here, and a new album in the works with Hydra Head. The group had this to say:

Alright, the smoke has cleared from all the new developments of the past couple months. We made a new Melvins record (comes out July 8), brought Toshi onboard permanent style, and wrote some top drawer new jams. Now what, you say? We are glad you asked.

We met with the bigwigs of Hydra Head records a few weeks back on neutral ground to discuss the future. After some table flipping, pint glass throwing, a few light stabbings, and a good cry, we are happy to announce that Hydra Head and Big Business will be working together on a new album.

The band also mentioned that they will be recording with Phil Ek (Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, The Shins), who handled their previous two efforts. You can view the full update here.
