Angels and Airwaves posts new video, talks about MCR suicide controversy

Angels and Airwaves have posted the latest video from their 2007 full length, I-Empire. Along with that, frontman Tom Delonge commented on the recent My Chemical Romance suicide controversy talking about Blink-182’s experience:

The same sort of thing happened to me with Blink, so I can understand what it’s like to be a part of something like that. We had a victim of the Columbine shootings take his life with our song on repeat. You kinda go through these situations where you blame yourself -but you can’t. You have no idea who these people are. And My Chemical Romance, they spend a lot of time singing about coming together and there’s ingredients of rebellion and angst, but what band doesn’t have that when you’re young?”

You can find that interview here.

Ambitions (2005-2008)

AmbitionsConnecticut melodic hardcore act Ambitions have broken up. The band posted the following message via Myspace bulletins explaining their reason for disbanding as well as information on their final two shows:

With members living in 3 states and various other demands of life, it’s been harder and harder to devote the time to this band that we feel it deserves. Between one of the members preparing for a reality show and another supporting the campaign trail for Barack Obama, things have been extremely busy outside of the band.

Rather than become less and less active, we’ve decided to put a proper end to something that has meant a lot to us. This band has been a big part of our lives for the past 3 years, and we can’t begin to thank everyone for their support and friendship.

Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, we won’t be able to make our long overdue trip out west to play Sound & Fury. However, we will be playing two final shows in CT, and we hope to see everyone there. This has been a great journey, and one we will never forget.

The band’s final album was 2007’s Stranger.
