Crisis in Hollywood, Before All Time, Reverse the Curse

Financial Records act, Crisis in Hollywood, are currently recording their sophomore album. Anthony Raneri of Bayside fame is down in Florida producing the album. They have posted five weeks of studio journals so far, containing the entire process from pre-production, to tracking, to mixing. UK-based pop-punk act Before All Time have posted a new song from their forthcoming debut for Feet Casino Records. The release is due out in February and you can check out the song on their myspace page.

Hiram, Ohio post-hardcore act Reverse The Curse have posted four new songs from their upcoming Paths EP. You can check out the tracks on their myspace page.

Sony/Legacy announces plans to bring back vinyl

After focusing on CD and digital releases for the past few years, Sony/Legacy has announced plans to begin releasing vinyl again. Beginning this month, the long-running major label will begin reissuing Columbia, Epic, and RCA releases.

The first batch of releases includes mainstream arists like Boston, Blue Oyster Cult, Jefferson Starship and Cheap Trick, but also Lou Reed’s classic, Berlin, and Social Distortion’s 1990 album, Social Distortion. Future releases are expected to include albums from The Clash including the forthcoming Live at Shea Stadium.

Fall Out Boy posts artwork for forthcoming album

Fall Out Boy Fall Out Boy have posted the artwork and more details about their forthcoming new studio album. The record is titled Folie à Deux (“The Madness of Two” – ed) and is due out November 04, 2008. It is the follow up to 2007’s Infinity on High.

The first single from the album is available via iTunes.

Crime in Stereo: “Desertbed”

Crime In Stereo has posted the song “Desertbed” from their upcoming collection Selective Wreckage. You can stream it at their MySpace page.

The CD / LP Selective Wreckage will feature ten unreleased songs chronicling the band’s evolution from 2006’s The Troubled Stateside to `07’s Is Dead. It arrives in stores on September 30th. In addition, Bridge Nine Records will be re-releasing the band’s The Troubled Stateside on vinyl on September 16th. The band previously announced plans to release three full lengths and two EPs in the next 12 months.

Crime In Stereo will tour soon with Fake Problems, following which they’ll join the Easycore Tour with New Found Glory, A Day To Remember, Four Year Strong and the International Superheroes of Hardcore. We posted the tour dates earlier.

Tim Barry completes new album, sets release date

Tim Barry has announced the completion and release date for his forthcoming full length. The record is titled Manchester and is due out November 04, 2008 (election day.) It is the follow-up to Rivanna Junction which was released in 2006.

Tim will join Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music, Ben Nichols of Lucero and Tom Gabel of Against Me! on the Revival Tour kicking off September 23rd.
