After an overzealous ISP cut the label off for hosting their own music, Quote Unquote has returned. The label explained:
We are not entirely sure what’s happening (as is our style these days) but we genuinely extend our deepest gratitude to the members of the independent media and press who have reported about our situation which we feel may have effectively saved the music that was contained within the site. We will keep you posted on where we go with our silly intellectual property from here.
To that end, the label has posted a new track from their forthcoming new record from Laura Stevenson. You can check it out here.
In related news, label owner Jeff Rosenstock was interviewed on NPR’s Morning Edition. It was for a piece on YouTube taking down campaign ads because news networks complained about the use of their footage. You can check out the interview here.

The artist, who recently moved to Gainesville, Florida, has done artwork for a number of bands, including My Chemical Romance, AFI and The Lawrence Arms. She also has an art show opening up in Chicago this Friday. The All Rise Gallery features a number of artists in addition to Gabel. For more information on that, click
