Tours: The Offspring
The Offspring have announced more dates on their ongoing tour. The band will be headed to South America for dates in Brazil and Argentina in addition to the previously announced shows in Japan, Texas, and Germany. The band is supporting Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace.

What We Do Is Secret – DVD release November 4
Peace Arch Entertainment has announced a DVD release date for the film, What We Do Is Secret. The disc is due out November 4, 2008.
The film tells the story of Darby Crash, who became an LA punk icon before taking his own life in 198 0. After getting kicked out of high school, Darby (Shane West) forms The Germs with a collection of friends who have lit tle experience with their instruments or playing music; Pat Smear (Rick Gonzalez), Lorna Doom (Bijou Phillips) and Don B olles (Noah Segan). After a few disastrous gigs, the band begins to click and Darby and The Germs soon find themselves t he talk of the LA punk scene. When hard drugs enter the picture, Darby starts alienating those closest to him and when T he Germs collapse, he’s at a loss to figure out what comes next.
Director Roger Grossman enlisted the help ex-Germs guitarist Pat Smear, as well as members of Crash’s family and others involved in the late ’70s/early ’80s Hollywood punk scene, You can find the box art here.

Manchester Orchestra have posted a free download of one of the tracks from their forthcoming EP. The record is titled Let My Pride Be What’s Left Behind and is due out October 14, 2008. The band explained the song:
This song was an experiment for us, in that we didn’t record it as traditionally as we are used to. We started from scratch and tried to gradually evolve it from a dark pop song into some of the heaviest guitar tones I’ve been able to find for us

Attack In Black / Baby Eagle (Constantines) planning split
Welland, Ontario’s Attack In Black have posted two new recordings. You can stream “Rainwater Blues” and “Half Moon on the City High” at the band’s MySpace page.The songs are covers of Baby Eagle, the side project of the Constantines‘ Steve Lambke. The two acts will soon put out a split release together.
The band has a number of tour dates coming up with Moneen and later Ladyhawk. The band has also announced that they’ll take part in Australia’s Soundwave Festival next February.
