Death By Stereo debuts four tracks

Death By Stereo Orange County’s Death By Stereo have posted four new songs from their upcoming fifth studio album, Death Is My Only Friend. The record follows Death For Life which was released in 2005. The new album is expected to drop sometime in 2009. It will not be released on the band’s longtime home, Epitaph, however. The band are currently free agents. The group also recently announced some shows with Suicidal Tendencies in December.

Dropkick Murphys, Bosstones, No Use For A Name comment on Obama victory

In the wake of Illinois senator Barack Obama’s historic win of the U.S. presidency on Tuesday, Alternative Press has collected the thoughts of over 15 musicians, including Dicky Barrett of the The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Wil Francis of Aiden, Al Barr of Dropkick Murphys, Fred Mascherino of The Color Fred, Tony Sly of No Use For A Name, Shane Told of Silverstein, Jonah Matranga of Far, Jeffree Star and more. Dicky Barrett noted:

feel like the world is now a better place, and a large chunk of my faith in my country has been restored. I don’t think we made a good choice, I think we made a great choice. I’m looking forward to living in a country where the guy who runs it is smarter than I am.

Will Francis of Aiden adds:
