Brooklyn’s Bottle Up and Go are kicking off a short tour this week and have also posted a new track. The shows are with Nightmare Of You and US Royalty and begin January 15th.

Their previously unreleased and freshly recorded song, “Day I Die” can be downloaded here. The track is from a recent home-recording session done in December. Drummer, Fareed Sajan, describes the song as “an indication of a new skin for Bottle Up & Go, one that has grown atop the old worn in skin of blues tradition.” Adding, “I think the new track showcases BU&G’s urgency and expands on our continual experimentation with interpreting the blues.”

Bloomington, IN’s Murder By Death is continuing their seven inch series with a split with Brooklyn-based punk/bluegrass band O’Death. The split will feature Murder By Death covering O’Death’s “Home,” while O’Death will be performing a cover of “Brother.” The seven inch will be released on February 16th.

The third release in the series will come out this May, featuring Amanda Palmer (The Dresden Dolls). Murder By Death released Red of Tooth and Claw in 2008, O’Death released Head Home in 2007.

A Fender acoustic guitar signed by an array of well known punk rockers incuding members of Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Gaslight Anthem, Circle Jerks, Street Dogs, T.S.O.L and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones has been put up for auction by SideOneDummy Records. All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit Wheels For Humanity, a charity that refurbishes used wheel chairs, takes them to third world countries and fits them for kids who are permanently disabled.

SideOneDummy also assembles the annual Rock To Roll charity show which aims to raise money for the same charity. The 2008 edition included Alkaline Trio, Gaslight Anthem, Punk Rock Karaoke and Broadway Calls.

New Found Glory have announced their upcoming headlining tour. The jaunt will feature Bayside, Verse and Set Your Goals and is set to kick off March 25, 2009. The tour coincides with the release of the band’s forthcoming Epitaph debut. The record is titled Not Without a Fight and is due out March 10, 2009.

Propagandhi have announced the release of their next full length. The record is titled Supporting Caste and is due out March 10, 2009. The band recorded with Bill Stevenson (Black Flag, Descendents, Zeke, 7 Seconds) and so far a release has been confirmed on Smallman Records. No word on when or if Fat Wreck Chords will be releasing the album in the US.

The Fall of Troy have posted a progress update on writing for their next album:

As for us, the new record is nearing completion, we have about 3 songs left to write that we’re slaving away at, we really wanna take our time with this record and make sure every song is worthy of our (and others) attention… As Manipulator was very rushed and we didn’t really have choices song wise, we had what we had… Hopefully within the next week or so we’ll announce a producer and timeline, so keep your eyes peeled.
