Poison The Well announce second seven inch, complete new album

Poison The Well have announced the second in their series of seven inches. This one is titled II / III and is due out January 20, 2009.

The EP will feature “Shuffle” and “Bowie.”

The band has also completed work on their next full length. The band recorded with producer Steve Evetts (Dillinger Escape Plan / ETID / Kid Dynamite) for their new full length set for release in May 2009 on Ferret.

Beastie Boys plan deluxe “Paul’s Boutique”

Beastie Boys have announced that they will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Paul’s Boutique with a deluxe remastered edition. Set for release on January 27, 2009, the album will feature some as-yet unnamed bonus tracks.

The classic album was released in 1989 and featured the trio’s collaboration with producers, the Dust Brothers. The album was ranked number 156 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time

Shook Ones finish recording, plan UK/Europe tour

Shook Ones have wrapped up recording on their forthcoming full length and debut for Paper and Plastick. The band has sent the tracks off to producer/mixer Matt Allison who will finish up work on the album.

The record is their first full length since 2006’s Facetious Folly Feat. and follows 2007’s Split with Easel. The band is planning a European and UK tour this April with Red Tape Parade.

Lifetime leaves Fueled By Ramen

Lifetime and Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance have apparently parted ways. The influential melodic hardcore act has been moved to the “alumni” section of the website. The band signed to label and released one record, 2007’s Lifetime.

The signing and presence on the label was very controversial, both due to Decaydance being owned by Fall Out Boy‘s Pete Wentz and the rather disparate artists on the label.

Let Me Out, Annelids, 300 Pounds

Warbird Entertainment will be releasing Let Me Out‘s debut album on March 24th, 2009. The Swedish hardcore act released the song “Disease” late last year and have posted more tracks at their MySpace page.

Annelids is the solo project of Bill Henderson, songwriter for New Jersey hardcore acts The Procedure and Between the Wars, and former guitarist of Thursday. The debut album Binomial Nomenclature is somewhat of a stylistic departure from those bands and contains 13 tracks of science- and biology-themed indie folk. The entire album can be downloaded for free at the band’s website and sampled at their MySpace.

Santa Cruz, California’s “Funk-n-Punk trio” 300 Pounds has signed a contract with DC-Jam Records to release their third L.P. titled Trail of Numbered Days.The album is scheduled for an early March release date and will be available for purchase at fine retailers everywhere. Hunter Burgan of AFI named “Vegan Ambassador” for Macbeth Shoes

Hunter Burgan of AFI and Hunter’s Revenge has been named “Vegan Ambassador” for Macbeth Footwear. As Vegan Ambassador, Burgan will be the official spokesperson of all things vegan at Macbeth. This includes hosting a new vegan blog to helping with design, and everything in between.In addition to Burgan’s ambassadorial duties, he and Macbeth are releasing their second vegan Studio Project, a vegan high top called, “The Hunter.”

The shoes are made of synthetic material including Ballistic Nylon and Synthetic Nubuck textiles. You can find more information here.

New Found Glory detail Epitaph debut, plan vinyl on Bridge 9, post single

New Found Glory New Found Glory have revealed more details about their forthcoming debut for Epitaph Records. The record is titled Not Without a Fight and is due out March 10, 2009. The album will be released on vinyl the same day via Bridge 9 as a gatefold LP.

The band has also launched a stream of their new single, “Listen to Your Friends,” on their myspace page. There is also an elaborate Flash game available on that page.
