The Queers: Alive In Hollyweird DVD Release

The first live concert DVD from The Queers arrives on March 24, 2009. Titled The Queers: Alive In Hollyweird, the set was professionally recorded and features 32 songs, multiple commentaries, live lyric track, a ton of bonus features, plus a bonus CD soundtrack of the show. The show also features a six-song guest appearance by Danny Vapid (Screeching Weasel, Riverdales, The Methadones).

Spinal Tap

Spinal Tap, the band composed of actors Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, and Christopher Guest, have announced a 25th anniversary tour for 2009. The original mockumentary film, This Is Spinal Tap, was released in 1984.

The tour, called The Unwigged and Unplugged Tour, will feature the singer-actors as themselves performing Spinal Tap songs, as well songs by their folksinger alter-egos the Folksmen, from their film A Mighty Wind.

Frodus plans reunion show, deluxe vinyl

Frodus has announced a reunion show and a deluxe reissue of their album, Conglomerate International, on vinyl. The influential post-punk band released music on Tooth and Nail Records, Fueled By Ramen Records and others. It saw members go on to form Decahedron, Frantic Mantis, The Cassettes, Man and Wasp

The band is planning to perform a free show at The Radio Room in Austin, Texas on March 21st. They have posted details and an elaborate trailer for the vinyl reissue. The vinyl is limited to 600 copies, and will include a contract, corporate credit card (for downloads), a patch, a double LP and more.

Title Tracks (ex-Q and Not U, ex-Loved Ones) announce debut

Title Tracks, the new project from John Davis (Georgie James, Q And Not U) have announced their debut 7-inch. The band also includes Michael Cotterman formerly of The Loved Ones.

The band recorded the music at Silver Sonya Studio with Nick Anderson and Chad Clark and are planning the 7-inch on Dischord in late April.
