Nirvana’s Reading Festival gig to be released on DVD

According to an NME report, Nirvana‘s famous 1992 performance at the Reading Festival is set for release on DVD. Titled Life Takes No Prisoners, the show features 27 songs including covers of Boston’s ‘More Than A Feeling’, Fang’s ‘The Money Will Roll Right In’ and ‘The Star Spangled Banner’. The show was notorious due to Kurt Cobain coming onstage in a wheelchair and wearing a white hospital robe for the duration of the performance.

Interestingly, the release is due out as a “bootleg” in May but a remastered, restored version of the performance will be released via Universal Music, but not till November.
