Polar Bear Club

Polar Bear Club Our friend and yours, Mikexdude has put together a great interview with Polar Bear Club and we’re bringing it to you today. He explains:

Surprise, surprise, eh? Well, I was thinking: “Who is a great, relevant band that could possibly pop my interview cherry.” Actually, I knew exactly who I wanted; I don’t think my love for Polar Bear Club is any news to the Org-readership — pun definitely intended. Recently, guitarist Chris Browne and I exchanged E-mails, shot the proverbial breeze, discussed their recent admission into the Bridge 9 family, and most notably, a brief insight on their highly-anticipated follow up to 2008’s Sometimes Things Just Disappear. Punknews exclusive: We should expect “shorter songs and more energy.”

Henry Rollins

Henry Rollins is doing a few spoken word shows on the East Coast and Europe in May and June. He had this to say:

So, in a few days, I fly to the east coast and do some shows! I am really looking forward to them. I will hopefully be out a good part of next year on the road, not so much this year. I have been getting several e-mails asking if there will be more dates added for this year and at this point, it doesn’t look like it. Like I said, next year should be a good amount shows starting in Europe in January and going all over for hopefully several months. You know me, I would rather be out in the world than here.

Blink 182 reveals more tour details

In a Rolling Stone piece, some more definitive information has been revealed about Blink 182‘s upcoming reunion tour. The blurb confirms that Weezer and Fall Out Boy will provide support on the tour and that the band is rehearsing more than they have in the past. Mark Hoppus told the magazine:

We used to walk onstage and forget our parts. We wanted to play fast and look cool. This time, we want to be more artistic.

The band is planning to introduce some new material on the tour and have also enlisted Daft Punk and Kanye West’s set designer to produce a more visual spectacle. The band is hoping to use the entire stage as a lighting rig and aims to be “as ambitious as possible.”
