It’s Alive Records will be releasing three new 7″ on May 12th. The Copyrights / The Dopamines new split Songs About Fucking Up, Barrakuda McMurder’s Slow Crawl 7-inch. The disc is the debut from Grath Madden of The Steinways. Last, two pop-punk outfits from Japan will participate on the Dazes/Wimpys split, Greetings From Japan.

All three are available for pre-order now at the label.

Earth Crisis in new pro-vegan campaign for PETA2

On the heels of the release of their Century Media debut, To the Death, Earth Crisis has joined PETA2 for a new pro-vegan campaign. The band appears with the tagline “Veganism Is the Essence of Compassion and Peaceful Living” and the band’s record will include “Meat is Murder” stickers.

Frontman Karl Buechner explained in an interview.

Wilco announce new album

Wilco has announced the release date for their next record. Wilco (The Album) is due out June 30 from Nonesuch Records. The 11-track set was produced by the band with Jim Scott, who mixed 2007’s Sky Blue Sky. The record will feature a guest appearance from Feist on a track entitled “You and I”.

Feist also plays percussion with Wilco on a non-album cover of Woody Guthrie’s “The Jolly Banker,” which is available for download on WilcoWorld.net. The band is asking fans to donate a minimum of $2 when they download the song, with all proceeds going to the Woody Guthrie Foundation and Archives. Wilco and Billy Bragg previously recorded two albums worth of unreleased Guthrie songs under the banner Mermaid Avenue.

The band also has some touring planned for the spring and summer months, both in America and Europe.

The Architects, New Tomorrow stream new songs

The Architects from Kansas City, MO and New Tomorrow from San Louis Obispo, CA are both streaming new tracks from their up and coming releases on Frank Iero’s Skeleton Crew Records.

New Tomorrow will be releasing We’re Counting On The Youth on June 9, 2009. They are supporting the record on shows with Propagandhi and Bridge and Tunnel. Check out two songs from the record on their myspace page.

Architects will release The Hard Way on June 19, 2009. It is the follow-up to Revenge which was released in 2006. You can find the new music on their myspace page

Have Heart / Shipwreck A.D. (World Tour)

Have Heart and Shipwreck A.D. have announced a World Tour. The two hardcore bands will be headed through China, Australia, South America, Europe, Africa, Canada, Central America and the United States beginning in China today and wrapping up in mid-September.

Have Heart is supporting Songs to Scream at the Sun and Shipwreck continues to tour on Abyss.

Fuse plans Green Day day

Fuse has announced that they will celebrate the release of Green Day‘s new full length, 21st Century Breakdown on May 15, 2009 with a full day of Green Day-related programming.

Beginning at 6am EST, the channel will air music videos, interviews and performances from the band’s entire career. Programming includes Loaded: Green Day with the band’s “most influential” music videos, The Green Day Chronicles with the band’s history and the No. 1 Countdown Special Edition: Green Day which will have host Steven Smith lead a countdown of the band’s music videos.

Subb to release “To This Beat” in June

Montreal’s Subb have announced their next full length. The record is titled To This Beat and is due out June 2, 2009. It is the follow-up to The Motions which was released in 2006.

The band is promising elements of punk rock, ska and reggae with special guest reggae living legend Jah Cutta on board for some tracks. The band will shoot a video for the first single “I Love Montreal” next week. They’ll be on the road all summer long and will do an album launch concert on June 5th in Montreal with labelmates The Johnstones at the Cabaret Juste Pour Rire.
