Decaydance signs Millionaires

Decaydance has signed Millionaires. The label will begin by releasing a new EP through the label, titled Just Got Paid, Lets Get Laid on June 23, 2009.

The controversial trio is playing Warped Tour this summer, and Kevin Lyman commented on the group in a recent Punknews.org interview:

You don’t have to like Brokencyde, or Jeffree Star, or the Millionaires, and I’m not saying that I do necessarily. But they are doing something, capturing something, stirring up controversy. Punk bands used to stir up controversy; if you’re taking that as the definition of “punk”, these artists could fall under that category.

Dillinger Escape Plan unveil “Party Smasher Inc.,” perform “Wish” with NIN

Dillinger Escape Plan have unveiled the name and more details about their recently announced imprint. The label is titled Party Smasher Inc. and the band explained:

We are creating an umbrella known as Party Smasher Inc.. that we will be putting out all of our future endeavors under. Our records, our shirts, our whatever the fucks….all of it is from now on coming out under that moniker. You’ll see that on there no matter where or what it is, and that’s how you’ll know if something you are getting is really an official DEP release and not a copy, like on the limited shirts and limited other things that we are gonna be doing. That will be on there, and if you don’t see it, on eBay or something, it’s not legit.

The band also spoke to U.K.’s Rock Sound saying that the band’s fourth studio album, Option Paralysis, will be released in early 2010. The band promises an “early ’90s thrash-influenced” record.
In related news, the band joined Nine Inch Nails to perform “Wish” live at Bonnaroo. You can check out the HD footage of the performance here.

Moneen reveal full-length title, release date

Moneen In a new interview, Moneen revealed the title and release date for their upcoming album. The record is titled The World I Want to Leave Behind and is due out September 15, 2009.

The band commented on the sound and progress of the record:

I think we’re over the whole “tech” rock thing. We have nothing to prove. Now it comes down to writing a good, simple song. Still, we have trouble doing that sometimes. I don’t know how it happens, but the simplest song can turn into crazyness once we start working on it.

It is in the final mastering stage. We decided on the track listing (which wasn’t easy), and now it’s VERY nearly done. The cover art is finished, and I can’t wait to hold it in my hands, and I REALLY can’t wait for others to hear it.

The band released the Hold That Sound EP this year.
