Moneen detail “The World I Want to Leave Behind”

Canada’s Moneen have revealed the track listing for their forthcoming album. The record is titled The World I Want to Leave Behind and is due out September 15, 2009. The Brampton-based quartet recorded the twelve tracks in January at Rattlebox Studios in Toronto with Brian Moncarz and Grammy award-winning David Bottrill (Tool, Silverchair, Placebo, Muse) at the producer’s helm.

Beastie Boys release “Ill Communication” deluxe

Beastie Boys continue their string of remastered, deluxe reissues with 1994’s Ill Communication. The wildly successful record features “Sabotage” with it’s influential Spike Jonze-filmed video (which can be seen here)

Though retail is officially set for July 14, 2009, the record is available now in digital formats and pre-orders have been launched for a deluxe 3 LP 180HQ vinyl version packaged with a lenticular hardcover coffee table book case and limited to 1500 copies.

Carry the Torch: A Tribute to Kid Dynamite (colored vinyl!)

Kid DynamiteCarry the Torch packs a walloping 39 tracks paying tribute to one of the most influential and beloved melodic hardcore bands of all time: Kid Dynamite. Released this past week on compact disc by Get Outta Town and last week on double-vinyl by Black Numbers, the latter has teamed up with Punknews.org to give collectors a serious prize package.

Brand New unveil title, release date

Brand NewThe title and release date for Brand New‘s highly anticipated album has been unveiled. The record is called And One Head Can Never Die and will be released September 22 on Interscope.

The band, who kicked off their current U.S. tour last night in Chicago, recently unveiled a new song live and talked about the album with Kerrang!.

They last released The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me in 2006.

No Idea signs Worn in Red

No Idea has announced the signing of Charlottesville/Richmond, VA quartet Worn in Red. The band’s as-yet-untitled debut for their new label is tentatively scheduled for a fall release. A song from the debut, “When People Have Something To Say” can be streamed at the band’s myspace page, and downloaded from No Idea here.

The band last released a split 7″ with Benard on Alaska/No Breaks Records in 2008.

Death By Stereo loses drummer, joins 10 for $10 tour

Drummer Chris Dalley has left Death By Stereo. Dalley, who joined the band three years ago, recorded the drums for the band’s forthcoming album, Death Is My Only Friend and is also the drummer for Ten Foot Pole and also joined Zebrahead on a recent tour.

The band has announced that they have joined the 10 for $10 tour, and will be performing on the July 25th and July 26th shows. Filling Chris’ vacant drummer position will be original drummer Jarod Alexander.
