The upcoming tour with Dashboard Confessional, New Found Glory, Meg and Dia, Never Shout Never and The Single File has been cancelled due to family reasons. Dashboard Confessional had the following statenent:

Due to a family situation that is beyond our control, we have to cancel our upcoming tour with New Found Glory, Never Shout Never, Meg & Dia and Single File (we are still playing with the Louisville Orchestra on November 7th). We don’t take this lightly but family has to come first. As this is a last minute development, we are still figuring out what we will do- as soon as we know, you will know. We apologize to everyone who planned on coming to the shows. We will find a way to make it up to you.

The band’s next album, Alter the Ending is due out November 10, 2009.

Thorp Records has signed New England based metal/hardcore act Hell Within. The label will release their new full length in May of 2010. Thorp co-founder Duane Miller commented

Hell Within plays a killer blend of metal, thrash and hardcore that is a natural extension of the more aggressive albums we’ve released over the last ten years. Plus, as Thorp Records is the home of HARD WORKING MUSIC, we have tremendous respect for the tireless work ethic J.J., Tony, Derek, Isaias and Derek have demonstrated, playing hundreds of shows every year.

The band is currently writing and plans to enter Damaged Studios in January of 2010 with producer Pete Rutcho (Bury Your Dead, Seamless, Unearth). You can check out a video of the band commenting on the signing below.
