Sonic Youth set to begin work on next album

According to a report from the BBC 6, Sonic Youth are already set to begin work on their 17th studio album. The band released, The Eternal this year. The album was their first independent release in more than two decades. Guitarist t Lee Ranaldo said:

[We’re] most probably going back into the studio next year. We’re still deeply ensconced in our new record, so we’re gonna play a lot of ‘The Eternal’, that’s what we’re having the most fun with.

The band is also planning a DVD release, combining footage from their recent 2007/2008 ‘Daydream Nation’ tour, as well as footage of them playing the classic album back in 1988. As for future releases, Ranaldo revealed plans to digitise over 30 years of the band’s recordings.

We’re doing a big archival house clean right now, We’ve got a massive archive of audio and video that’s sitting in our studio in Hoboken. We’ve got somebody in there who’s noting every single thing down and making a massive database, and then we’re going to start digitising it because some of the tapes are 30 years old now.

It’s a Bloodbath!

In the sixteen hours since war was declared between the Demoman and the Soldier, a whopping 2,681,005 kills (and counting) have been tallied. That’s bloody astonishing! And it’s all thanks to you! You should all be proud of yourselves!

Those of you worried that you’re missing prime exam-studying time right now, keep in mind you’re now participating not only in the bloodiest war Team Fortress 2 has ever seen, but the bloodiest battle, ever, of all time. I don’t want to oversell how big this is, but I am not exaggerating when I say that this war can be seen from space. If a prospective employer isn’t impressed by reading that on your college transcript, watch out—you might be applying for a job as a five-year-old girl.

Hah!

P.S. Why not buy a Mann Co. t-shirt? I don’t wear clothes on my upper body, for obvious reasons—but I hear t-shirts are great for those of you who have been told to put on a shirt (for obvious reasons).
