Videos of Jawbox live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

Jawbox Last night, legendary Washington, DC post-hardcore outfit Jawbox performed live for the first time since 1997 on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Desoto Records recently reissued the band’s 1994 album For Your Own Special Sweetheart. The band performed “Savory” on the show, and also taped live performances of “68” and “FF=66”.

Hulu is hosting all three videos, which is unfortunately only available in the United States. As for everyone in the rest of the world, “Savory” can be watched here on YouTube, but it may not be up for long.

Swingin’ Utters recording new album

Swingin' Utters Bay Area punk veterans Swingin’ Utters have announced that they’re currently in the midst of recording a new full-length. The record is expected out in the spring or summer of 2010, and would be the band’s first proper studio album since 2003’s Dead Flowers, Bottles, Bluegrass, and Bones.

In the interim the band released Live in a Dive in 2004 and Hatest Grits: B-Sides and Bullshit in 2008, and also added Jack Dalrymple (One Man Army, Dead To Me) as a member.
