Slackers’ next full length due on April 20th

The Slackers The Slackers‘ new full length follow up to 2008’s Self Medication is set for release on April, 20th of 2010. The album has been recorded and is currently in mixing. Earlier this year the long running New York City ska act announced that they had re-signed with longtime label Hellcat Records for the release. The band’s stream on Twitter brandied about the phrase “The Great Rocksteady Swindle” (which of course is a play on the similar Sex Pistols title).

Whether this is the name of the record or not remains to be seen.

Murder By DeathMurder By Death have released a new song in the spirit of the holiday season titled “Pizza Party (At Gloria Estefan’s House).” It’s available to either stream or download from the band’s bandcamp page.

The group was recently interviewed for this very website, and is working on a new album.

WHITECHAPEL: Footage From Pre-Production Sessions Posted Online

Knoxville, Tennessee death metallers WHITECHAPEL have entered Audiohammer studios in Sanford, Florida with acclaimed producer Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, ALL THAT REMAINS, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, CHIMAIRA, DEVILDRIVER) to begin recording their third album for a late spring/early summer release via Metal Blade Records.

Özgür Ögret of Turkey’s Hürriyet Daily News & Economic Review recently conducted an interview with Kobi Farhi, vocalist of Israel’s progressive folk metal masters ORPHANED LAND, about the band’s highly anticipated fourth studio opus, “The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR”, which is scheduled for release in Europe on January 25, 2010 and in the U.S.
