New Transplants material in the works

The Transplants Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has hinted that The Transplants, the punk / hip-hop supergroup that features himself, Rancid‘s Tim Armstrong, and “Skinhead Rob” Aston, is set to return with new music in 2010. The band last released Haunted Cities in 2005 via Hellcat Records. The two Transplants full lengths have featured a number of guests artists including Rancid’s Matt Freeman and Lars Frederiksen, the The Slackers‘ Vic Ruggiero, Sen Dog and B-Real of Cypress Hill, Eric Ozenne of The Nerve Agents, Davey Havok of AFI, and Rakaa Iriscience of Dilated Peoples among others.

There’s no word yet on when the new record is planned for or who will be involved.

Marky Ramone and Michael Graves record song together

Ramones Punk icons Marky Ramone, formaly of Ramones and Michale Graves, who continues to front some version of The Misfits have teamed up to record a new tune for 2010. The pair will release “When We Were Angels” as an iTunes download on January 10th. Ramone recorded the track to mark the fifth anniversary of his Marky Ramone’s Punk Rock Blitzkrieg radio show on Sirius/Xm Radio, and he invited pal Graves to join Not content to release just music, Marky Ramone has also released Markey Ramone’s Brooklyn’s Own Pasta Sauce, which is available here.

Paper the Operator releases “Goodbye God”

Paper the Operator Paper the Operator have released their new full-length, Goodbye God. The album was written, played and recorded entirely by band frontman Jon Sebastian and follows up the band’s 2008 EP, Solemn Boyz (a rarities collection entitled Mount Bounty was released in the interim, however).

The Swellers post “Montreal Screwjob”, new tour video

In honor of Bret “The Hitman” Hart returning to WWE tonight, The Swellers are streaming “Montreal Screwjob” right here. The song is an outtake from the Ups and Downsizing sessions and was the B-side to their 7″ single, Welcome Back Riders.

The band has also posted a new tour video chronicling their shenanigans on the road with Less Than Jake and The Casualties.
