Pitchfork is hosting the new video from Frightened Rabbit for “Nothing Like You,” a track from the band’s upcoming full-length, The Winter of Mixed Drinks.

Slated for a March 1, 2010 release, The Winter of Mixed Drinks will follow up 2008’s The Midnight Organ Fight and the band has already lined up a lengthy tour in support of the record.

North of America to reunite this weekend

Influential Halifax, NS post-punk/math rock outfit North of America (get it?) will be reuniting this Saturday in Montreal for a show as part of the Blue Skies Turn Black 10th Anniversary show. More information is available here.

The band, which started in 1997, has reunited sporadically over the years. They notably released material through Level Plane Records.

Castevet’s ‘The Echo and the Light’ delayed, release now expected in May

Castevet Chicago’s Castevet have parted ways with Big Scary Monsters and now plans to record two additional tracks for their upcoming record, The Echo and the Light, and release it as a 12″ in May through an as-yet-unnamed label.

Once out, The Echo and the Light will follow up 2009’s Summer Fences.

Young Livers: “In Rapid Succession”

Young Livers Young Livers have posted a new track from their upcoming sophomore full-length, Of Misery and Toil. Head to the band’s MySpace page to check out “In Rapid Succession.”

Slated for an April 27, 2010 release through No Idea Records, Of Misery and Toil will follow up 2007’s The New Drop Era. The band will soon head to Europe with labelmates Bridge and Tunnel.

Tiny Engines to release new LP from Everyone Everywhere

Everyone Everywhere Tiny Engines has announced that their next release will be a self-titled 12″ from Philadelphia’s Everyone Everywhere. Slated for a May 4, 2010 release, it’ll follow up the band’s 2009 7″ A Lot of Weird People Standing Around. Two songs from the new album can be heard at the band’s MySpace page.

Tours: Public Image Ltd. (North America)

Public Image Limited The reunited Public Image Limited will be touring North America this spring, with the first date being the band’s previously announced appearance at this year’s edition of Coachella. The band will play shows on both American coasts, a few in the midwest and two gigs in Canada.

John Lydon formed Public Image Limited in 1978 following the implosion of the Sex Pistols. The original line up included one-time The Clash guitarist Keith Levene, bassist Jah Wobble and drummer Jim Walker. The group ran with various lineups and guest stars through 1993, in that run releasing eight full-lengths. They first reunited late last year for a run of shows in the UK.
