Angel City Outcasts rejoin Sailor’s Grave, plan third full length

Angel City Outcasts Angel City Outcasts have resigned to Sailor’s Grave Records for the release of their upcoming third studio album. The self-titled record is due out May 11, 2010. The band is described as “Rock n Roll’s bastard child, as the band was fathered by an eclectic bunch of musical forefathers including southern and hard rock, punk, classic country, doo-wop, blues, and even soul and R&B.

Two songs from the record are available here: “Don’t Break Me Down” and “Sidewinder.”

Mike Muir talks about future Suicidal Tendencies releases

Mike Muir, the frontman of hardcore punk/crossover thrash metal legends Suicidal Tendencies, recently revealed in an interview with FranticMag that the band is planning to release a new album at the end of this year, as well as re-recordings of No Mercy songs and re-recordings of songs from their 1987 album Join the Army.

“We’ve got two CDs coming out this year. One is a re-make of No Mercy songs, band where Mike Clark and I were in before Clark joined Suicidal. Clark joined after Join The Army, so there’s also old songs from “Join the Army”. In the fall, we have the actual Suicidal record coming out.”

It’s been nearly ten years since Suicidal Tendencies released their proper studio album, Free Your Soul and Save My Mind.

MMA afficiando, prolific Twitterer and New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert has been recording material under the moniker What’s Eating Gilbert, which he has posted for free download on his recently launched website. Accompanying Gilbert on the songs is Elgin James known for his work in a number of projects, including Righteous Jams.
