Rise Against, Coheed & Cambria, Deftones at Rock on the Range

Bands have been announced for the 2010 Rock on the Range Festival. Acts set to perform include Anberlin, Bullet for My Valentine, Coheed & Cambria, Deftones, Escape The Fate, Five Finger Death Punch, Helmet, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon, Rise Against, Violent Soho, Adelitas Way, Airbourne, Apocalyptica, Cold, Drowning Pool, Godsmack, Halestorm, Janus, Like A Storm, Limp Bizkit, Mushroomhead, Noise Auction, Nonpoint, Papa Roach, Puddle Of Mudd, Rob Zombie, Seether, Sevendust, Shaman’s Harvest, Skillet, Slash, Taddy Porter, Theory Of A Deadman, Three Days Grace and Year Long Disaster.

It all takes place May 22nd and 23rd at the Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

Leftover Crack looking into third full length

Leftover CrackIn a blog post about the release of Loren Cass on DVD, Leftover Crack mentioned that work towards writing a third full length had begun, though little is known about when (or if) the record will surface:

There are a few songs & Lyrics written for the 3rd full-length LOC studio album, but we have yet to attempt to play any of it or share the big themes & ideas yet, seriously, it’s gonna take a long time, but we promise that if it ever does see the light of day, we will work meticulously on it & promise that it will definitely be better than our half of the Citizen Fish split…

The band’s last full length, Fuck World Trade, was released in 2004. Since then, the band released the aforementioned Deadline split with Citizen Fish.

Down By Law: “Crystal”

Down By Law Down By Law has posted their first new song in quite some time. The veteran melodic punk outfit has released “Crystal,” and a mix of the song will appear on a forthcoming Down By Law release. While they have not released a new album since 2003’s windwardtidesandwaywardsails, the group has been performing periodically over the intervening years. The band features Dave Smalley of ALL and Dag Nasty and previously released the song “Bullets” 2008.
