Israeli Metal Fans Boycott METALLICA Concert
According to Metal Israel, a number of METALLICA fans in Israel have vowed to boycott the band’s May 22 appearance at Ramat Gan stadium in Tel Aviv after the concert’s promoter, Marcel Avram, announced that he would charge no less than 600 shekel (around $159 based on the current exchange rate) for the cheapest seats, with the floor seats costing double that amount.

A couple of songs from the upcoming Joe McMahon (Smoke Or Fire) / Brendan Kelly (The Lawrence Arms, The Falcon) split have been posted. The album, titled Wasted Potential, is slated for a March 16, 2010 release; Anchorless Records will handle the vinyl release and Red Scare will be releasing it on CD.
McMahon’s song, “Beauty Fades”, can be heard at the Anchorless MySpace page. Kelly’s track, a porch-friendly take on the Lawrence Arms’ staple “Quincentuple Your Money,” can be heard at Red Scare’s MySpace page.
