This could very much hold true for Punknews interviewer James Hepplewhite and his interview with Fucked Up‘s drummer, Jonah Falco, at 2009’s Pitchfork Festival. Marissa Paternoster (Screaming Females) preps solo album as Noun

Don Giovanni Records will release the debut full-length from Noun, the new solo project from Screaming Females frontwoman Marissa Paternoster. The record is titled Holy Hell and it’s slated for a June 15, 2010 release.

The label will hold a special two night showcase at the Mercury Lounge in New York City on April 24 and 25, with Screaming Females performing the first night and Noun the second night.

Saves the Day added to Bamboozle

Saves The Day Saves The Day have been added to this year’s Bamboozle festival in New Jersey. The band will perform on Saturday, May 1 alongside acts such as Paramore, Angels and Airwaves, Escape the Fate, Protest the Hero, Four Year Strong and a slew of others.

The band last released Under the Boards in 2007 and continues to work on its follow-up (and final chapter in a trilogy that began in 2006 with Sound the Alarm), Daybreak.

The Dopamines sign to Paper & Plastick

The Dopamines Cincinnati’s pop-punk trio, The Dopamines, have signed to Paper and Plastick. The band recently visited Gainesville after their performance at The Fest 8 to record with Roger from Less Than Jake and Matt from the Teen Idols at Roger’s Moat House Studios. The album was then passed on to Stephen Egerton (Decendents/ALL) for mixing. The final product, entitled Expect The Worst, will be released by Paper and Plastick in late June on LP/Digital download.

The band has posted the first song from the album, “Public Domain,” and you can check that out via their label’s media player.

The band released Soap and Lampshades last year.
