Green Day have begun demoing for their next album. Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong recently told Kerrang! magazine:
“We did some demos in Berlin, some in Stockholm, some just outside of Glasgow and some in Amsterdam …. We wanted to get [the new songs] down in some early form.”
The band released 21st Century Breakdown in 2009. Dates for an American summer tour alongside AFI are expected to be announced soon.

On the heels of the band’s drawn out demise, Nakatomi Plaza frontman Oscar Albis Rodriguez has unveiled a new project dubbed Ghost Robot Ninja Bear. The band’s debut single, One Pedal To Another b/w Blood, The Tango, is available at their Bandcamp page as a name-your-price download. A second single is slated for a June 15 release.
The band also plans to record a full-length in July, with a release to come the fall.

End of a Year continues to support 2009’s self-titled 7″, while Red Tape Parade last released The Floor in 2009, although a new release from them is on the way. The two bands also notably released a split 7″ in 2008.
