Iggy and The Stooges ready deluxe edition of Raw Power, release EPK

The Stooges On top of the previously announced Legacy Edition, The Stooges have also planned a Deluxe Edition of their influential 1973 release, Raw Power. Due out April 27, the set will contain three CDs including the long out-of-print David Bowie mix of the album as well as a slew of unreleased tracks, a DVD documentary, a 48 page book, five 5×7 prints, and a 7″ picture disc inside of a slipcase box set.

The Thermals: “Separate”

The Thermals The Thermals have posted a new song. “Separate” comes the band’s upcoming split 7″ with The Cribs, which will be available on April 17 as part of Record Store Day. More information on the release is available here.

Check out the song at the band’s MySpace page. The Thermals next full-length is tentatively titled Personal Life and it’s expected out in September, following up 2009’s critically acclaimed Now We Can See.

Cruel Hand hit the studio

Cruel Hand Maine’s Cruel Hand are entering the studio today to record their upcoming album, which is set to hit streets in the later summer months of 2010. The band will be at at Getaway Recording for the next two weeks for a second collaboration with producer Jay Maas (Bane, Verse). Their yet-to-be-titled third full length will follow up their sophomore release, Prying Eyes.

Upcoming tour plans include a spot on New England’s Metal Fest and both a Japanese and European visits.
